What is the LinQ Ascent
Player Portal?
The LinQ Ascent Player/Portal is the learner-side experience. Ascent was built to be different than other learning systems. It is structured to give the learner a controllable learning experience and offer personalized learning paths.
Ascent allows the user to set the video playback and document use experience. Whether the class is a video stream, live webinar or class activity, the learner can adapt and enhance their learning experience.
Activities such as testing, learner interaction and completion certificates are all part of the the Ascent portal. Also, Ascent provides users a single sign-on (SSO) portal, avoiding multiple site logins to complete learning activities.
Learning management systems incorporate a player system allowing learners to watch class videos. Most players are embedded in a web page and force students to view the class and documents from a single viewer.
Ascent breaks that mold.
The Ascent player allows the learner to stream class videos, view course documents and annotate those documents, together - all from the same screen. The annotated documents can then be download and saved for future study. Learners are able to freely move each course window and learn the content in a way that best suits their learning style, enhancing and improving the overall learning experience.
Ascent accommodates all class types and allows the provider to create blended learning courses using a single player system. Ascent gives learning control to the student and engages them in the course process.
